Skills and Requirements:

  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customer accounts, internal staff, vendors, etc. and able to thrive in an ever-changing work environment
  • Responsible for developing sales territories, expanding our customer base, meeting sales goals and analyzing and controlling expenses
  • Responsible for traveling through assigned territory 3-4 days a week contacting customers and prospects in person and by phone
  • Responsible for developing sales skills by using displays and demonstrations, distributing samples and catalogs and matching product benefits to customer needs
  • Responsible for educating customers about truck route availability, credit application process, company procedures, etc.
  • Responsible for administrative reports and sales analysis including periodic sales volume and forecasts, forecasting sales numbers, reviewing market analysis, determining customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates and recommending new products
  • Responsible for the annual pricing level review of all accounts
  • Responsible for coordinating efforts with the Sales Support Representative to achieve a teaming approach with customers
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently utilizing organizational tools such as laptop, e-mail, FACTS program, other software programs, expense reports, customer update forms, credit applications, etc.
  • Responsible for lifting boxes or demo units of up to 75 lbs. on occasion and spending extended periods driving each day
  • Responsible for complying with all safety rules and government regulations
  • Responsible for other duties and tasks as needed to satisfy the needs of the business
